Walks and Runs

Last night the gnomes with hammers were pounding on my head so I went to bed at 8:00. Earlier in the day however I was blessed to design a t-shirt for our office team to wear in the Walk for Alzheimer's coming up in October. The walk is another great way to support the cause. I'm excited that the people on our team will get to wear one of my designs to show support as well!

The office was slow today so I got to come home early. I've been wanting to give the cat a little more "privacy" so I decided today would be the day. I cleaned out one of the closets and moved his little outhouse in there and fixed the doors to give him just enough room to sneak in and out. His "no dogs allowed" clubhouse. He actually seemed really happy with it. It took me about forty minutes and I was concentrating pretty hard but didn't think I was totally oblivious to my surroundings. Anyway, when I was done I went downstairs and let the girls out. Now Charlie, she is a fast dog. By the time I realized that the gate was open Charlie had already beat me to it. Apparently someone, I assume a meter reader who wasn't taught that gates serve a purpose and need to be closed (this is a major pet peeve of mine, major) had come in the backyard and I totally missed it.  Well I got down the stairs in time for both girls to go through the open gate. Thankfully, Charlie stopped on the front step and I picked her up.  Molly was so responsible, she stopped at a tree and then walked back around the house with me. What a blessing they didn't take off!  God was watching us close today!
