Haven't blogged in a couple days so I'm going to talk about 3 blessings tonight, and have more pictures. I did, however, have a good reason for taking a mini-break. We bought a house! And moved! During ice-mageddon! Seriously, the south is not designed for this crap. I am not designed for this crap. I moved away from it and it followed me 15 years and 3 state lines to help me move again.
This brings me to the 1st blessing of the night. The movers were amazing and came a day early to make sure we got our furniture in time. They could've postponed us but instead they rushed for us. It was a slow process but they were super careful and our furniture is great. Unfortunately they got stuck in the yard before they could load so that caused a delay but still, awesome job. I would totally recommend them.
I have said before how blessed I am to have such wonderful friends. There is no way we could have got this house or made this move without them. One of my friends was our realtor. FABULOUS. Absolutely fabulous. We are picky and ask tons of questions, I tend to stress, and she handled everything perfectly. Can't thank her enough. Another friend works for the company that got us our mortgage loan. She referred us to a spectacular agent, made sure everything was understandable and smooth. She's a wonderful person with a beautiful heart. During Tuesday's rush to move two friends brought a trailer and helped us load all the boxes. It was cold, snowing, muddy, and hard work but they toughed it out and helped so much. Don't know what we'd have done without them. Not to mention my awesome friends that stockpiled boxes for us!! Another friend was prepared to spend all day Wed. At the new house to help with the fur babies and technicians, deliveries, etc. Of course when all the scheduling changed and the ice shut Columbia down she didn't need to come but the fact that she was willing meant a lot. Other friends and family were asking how things were going and checking on us all day. Everyone's support has been amazing.
Third, we are blessed to have our new house! There is still a lot of stuff left at the old house because of the weather that we still have to get and there is lots of snow and ice in our new yard but we bought a house! I'm so happy to have our own place. It's a blessing long in the making and a wonderful gift, so thankful.
